4th Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference

Ten PGDM Students attended the DMA‘s 4th Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference at Indian Habitat Centre on 20 Feb 2014. The conference had many eminent speakers divided amongst four sessions like Ms Chetna Vijan Sinha, MD, Mann Deshi Mahila Sahkari Bank; Dr Sarla Shekhawat, Krishi Sewa Kendra, Ms Ritu Barua,Editor-in-Chief Franchise Media, Ms Veena Swaroop, ED-HR, India Engineers Ltd and Ms Meena Kapoor, MD, Netway India.
Ms Chetna Vijay Sinha discussed about her journey of opening a Rural Bank in Satara district of Maharashtra. Ms Ritu Barua guided on the franchisee business and gave example like Euro Kids whom Franchise media has supported. Ms Meena Kapoor spoke on ecommerce business. Dr Sarla narrated how she had developed business in rural areas of Rajasthan through SHG network.
Overall the conference was enlightening and informative and students gained lot of understanding of starting a new venture. The faculty incharge for the event was Ms Surabhi Singh and Mr Kuldip Kaul.

There was an overwhelming response from the students and they interacted with the guest speaker’s during question-answer session. He further explained how the Input department collects the raw news stories from the Local Correspondents, Bureaus throughout the country, along with news feeds from various Agencies, Foreign Correspondents and Retainers. He explained the priorities of the News Channels and elaborated the different modes of operations and strategies

Best out of waste competition@IMSNOIDA.IN

In the new session Creative Club activities of BCA started with “Best out of waste Competition” in IT Department of IMS NOIDA. This event was held on 23rd only creativity and presentation skills but also helped the students to realize the importance of recycling and reusing waste material available to them.The program began with the formation of teams, for enhancing the team spirit in the students while working. Ms. Nancy Mendiratta and Ms. Nidhi Sharma (Creative Club In-Charges) guided the students over how to use waste material available at home.Students were engaged in handicrafts using plastic bottle , sticks , newspapers, fused bulb, bottle cap and so on during the competition. They created Pen Stand , Flower vase , Night Lamp , Jewellery box and so on. Students actively participated in the event.  Group 1 won the First Prize in the event (Pen Stand).
