Debate competition which was organised by PGDM department @IMSNOIDA.IN

PGDM Department organized an Intra College Debate Competition, “VICHAR MANTHAN”. All the Departments of IMS vis- a- vis PGDM, MIB, BBA, BJMC participated enthusiastically. The topics for the debate were:- 1. Capital punishment is unjust and degrading. 2. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: It is a vision and not just mere photo opportunity. 3. Clean India - Attitude change is more important than the movement. 4. Debate: Is corruption a moral or a legal issue? 5. Corruption – A Moral or a Legal Issue Students were prepared well gave tough competition to the opponents. They were at their best when they were talking on either in Favour of or Against.The Faculty members also contributed in the successful conduction of debate by their presence and boosting the confidence of the students. Workshop on Tv & Film Script Writing@IMSNOIDA.IN

A workshop to enrich the style & skill of writing for our budding journalists. This workshop was organised by SJMC on 27th February 2015 in the IMS Seminar Hall on ‘Script Writing for Films And T.V'. Mr. Kumar Prabhat, a renowned Script Writer from Mumbai was the chief orator & guest of the workshop. Mr. Anant Rai, Director of the National and International award winning short film ‘Mai Tamanna' and RJ Abhi, Programming Head of Indo- American Radio station ‘Radio Zindagi' attended the workshop as guests experts. Mr. Prabhat discussed about the practical aspects of script writing for films. The topics covered were Idea framing Story plotting Screenplay Dialogue Characterization Costume Location description in scripting Showing some examples of screenplay, he described the final draft for script writing of a film. Workshop on Moot Court based on Contract-I@IMSNOIDA.IN

Moot court is a law school activity. It is competition during which students participate in the preparation of memorials and arguing of cases in front of judges. Students have to select their side whether they are arguing on behalf of petitioner/plaintiff or respondent/defendant and given a set amount of time to prepare for the eventual trial. Moot court members have to research their respective sides, write appellate briefs, and present oral arguments in front of the judges. Judges are free to ask any questions at the time during the presentation, and students must respond accordingly; therefore, a profound understanding of the facts of the case, their arguments, and their opponents' arguments is required. Department of BBA has conducted an interaction session for 3 rd year (VI semester) students of BBA from 12.00 AM to 1:00 PM on 24/03/2015, Tuesday. The program started at 12 PM with warm welcome and well wishing of students in the presence of Ms. Reenu Bansal ( Program Director-BBA) , Mr. Sandeep Kumar Sahu ( In-charge Finance Club Activity & BBA-3 rd year), Ms. Nancy Jain ( German Lecturer) Ms. Sonia Dhir (Assistant professor) and other faculty members. Ms. Reenu Bansal introduced the students about the Entrepreneur cell named Incu-Bay and gave brief introduction about Ms. Kalpana Sinha, Head-Entrepreneur Cell. She also briefed about the importance of entrepreneurship in today’s scenario. Ms. Kalpana Sinha started with the motivational thoughts about life. In the new session Social Awareness Club activities of BCA started with a Poster making Competition in the IT department of Institute of Management Studies, Noida. The event was held on 27th February 2015. The purpose of this program was to motivate the students to serve their community by spreading awareness on a very crucial issue that the society is facing.The program began with the formation of teams, for enhancing the team spirit in the students while working. Ms. Monika Dixit Bajpai and Mr. Amit Kushwaha ( Social Awareness Club In-Charges) guided the students over how to go about the poster making and the contents necessary for poster to be accepted.Students participated actively in the event and shown in social awareness The Team H won the first Prize in the event. Following are the members of the team: Abhinav Sharma,Amit Sharma,Akshay Chugh Congratulations….. The students were awarded by the Associate Dean-IT Dr. Manju Gupta For their wonderful efforts.

Best out of waste competition@IMSNOIDA.IN

In the new session Creative Club activities of BCA started with “Best out of waste Competition” in IT Department of IMS NOIDA. This event was held on 23rd only creativity and presentation skills but also helped the students to realize the importance of recycling and reusing waste material available to them.The program began with the formation of teams, for enhancing the team spirit in the students while working. Ms. Nancy Mendiratta and Ms. Nidhi Sharma (Creative Club In-Charges) guided the students over how to use waste material available at home.Students were engaged in handicrafts using plastic bottle , sticks , newspapers, fused bulb, bottle cap and so on during the competition. They created Pen Stand , Flower vase , Night Lamp , Jewellery box and so on. Students actively participated in the event.  Group 1 won the First Prize in the event (Pen Stand). School of IT, IMS NOIDA had organized quiz on “C Skills” on 27th  February ,2015 This quiz organized under the kind guidance of Ms.Pooja Juneja and Ms.Rashmi Trivedi Computers has always been a field of  immense knowledge. We consider computers to be a part and parcel of our lives. Today's quiz was based on this magical machine and its applied fields. The quiz was prepared by Anchal, Simarpreet and Varsha Vats. Questions were excellently chosen which were both informative and interesting. There were questions basically from the fundamentals of computers which included C Programming Questions. Each question was a multiple type having four alternatives out of which only one was correct. This was a combine quiz prepared for BCA  sem VI, both sec A and sec B, where 70 students participated. An educational trip organized by the IMS Noida to “Jaisalmer” (Rajasthan) for PGDM 1st year batch (2014-16). The trip period was from 31st Jan ’15 to 4th Feb ’15. The trip involved 17 students of PGDM 1st year batch and 3 faculties of PGDM - Mr. Kuldeep Kaul, Dr. Mahua Dutta & Ms. Keenika Saini.Jaisalmer is famous for its desert rides, camel rides, Ancient forts, traditional folk dance, etc. A Desert Festival is organized once every year in the months of  january-february  It is the main attraction of tourists from all over the country and abroad.  It is a three day festival organized by the local residents of the place. This time desert festival was organized from 1st Feb to 3rd Feb 2015.We commenced our journey  on 31st Jan ’15.at 5:35pm  by  Delhi Jaisalmer Express from Old Delhi Railway Station and reached Jaisalmer around 1 pm on 1st Feb.
