LEGAL AWARENESS STREET PLAY ON CYBER CRIME

IMSNOIDA Law College , Noida in Co-ordination with Adyopant Legal Services & Atmabodh organized Legal Awareness street play on 4th April, 2015 within the college premises. IMSNOIDA Law College students presented a street play on the topic of “Cyber Crime”.About: Adyopant Legal Services is a full service law firm based in Delhi with particular expertise in general commercial and corporate law, intellectual property law, public policy and litigation. Adyopant Legal Services have a community outreach programme for spreading legal awareness in the society on sensitive topics and nurturing the socially sensitive young lawyers. A workshop on “ Page Making ” by Mr.O.P.Mishra, Chief Visualiser, Indian Express was organized in SJMC Presentation room (AT II) beginning at 10.30 am on May 18 and 19, 2015. Students of BJMC IV, BJMC VI Semesters and MJMC II Semester participated in this workshop. Courts are regarded as the temples of justice. Any person who is aggrieved by the action of another takes his resort in the court to get his grievance redress. For every law students who intends to pursue his career as a lawyer and is preparing to develop his career plans, he will be much benefited if he gets an opportunity to observe intensely the procedures carried out in the courts.Court visits are included in legal education curriculum to provide the students with an opportunity to study by observing a live court room. For achieving above stated object IMSNOIDA Law College , Noida organized a visit to High Court of Delhi for all the B.A.,LL.B students on May,05 2015.In the beginning students were shown the proceeding of Mediation Centre of Delhi High Court, where they saw how a civil matter can be compromised with the help of mediators. IMSNOIDA Law College organized a skit programme on two different issues related to consumer awareness and Labour issues.Net neutrality was the  first issue related to the  rights of the net users as a consumer and the Second issue was on the Labour problems On 1st May 2015 on the occasion of world Labour Day.Net Neutrality is a very new concept of which people are not fully aware. Those who are regular users of internet are now under threat of slowing down of speed of internet and simultaneously have to pay additional charges for using the websites not included in their internet connectivity tariff. Now it would no more be possible for one to recharge single net pack and login all sites by the same recharge. CSI, Noida Chapter along with IMS Noida jointly organized a panel discussion on the subject of net neutrality involving experts from IT sector, telecom sector, journalism etc. The program commenced with lightening of the lamp accompanied by Saraswati Vandana and a formal welcome of all the dignitaries with presentation of bouquets. The session was chaired by Shri Gopal Agarwal, an economic expert and founder of Nagrik Manch having vast experience in the field of financial markets and economics. School of IT , IMS NOIDA had organized quiz on 1st, May ,2015. This quiz organized under the kind guidance of Ms.Rashmi Trivedi and Ms.Pooja JunejaEvery Individual needs to be smart enough to use their brains well to solve a reasoning question. So in order to test and know the logical thinking of the IT students this “ Quiz on Reasoning ” was conducted on 1st May 2015. The students of IT participated with full enthusiasm and showed their skills on reasoning questions. The quiz was prepared by vaishali, Simarpreet. Questions were excellently chosen which were interesting. There were questions basically from the information based around the world. This was a combine quiz prepared for BCA  sem VI, both sec A and sec B, where 52 students participated. AIMA workshop held on IMSNOIDA

AIMA’s Workshop on Business simulation was conducted on  ! st May at our campus Board Room. Five teams comprising of 21 PGDM students participated in the  Activity.The activity was conducted by Dr Gupta and his team from AIMA who challenged and mentored the budding managers.The  participants were confronted with real world business issues from functional areas of Marketing,Production,Human Resources and Finance. They were asked to take management decisions (based on a case) and see the business effect of such decisions, soon thereafter.The students played to win, and in seeking to win, they imbibed new forms of competitive behavior that is ideal for today's highly chaotic business conditions. The competition urges participants to learn willingly, and the in-built interactivity enhances the pace of learning.The students day long frustration and excitement of managing their company’s bottomline ensured that the learning elements were retained with the participants.

School of IT , IMS NOIDA had conducted a Presentation Competition on INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY  for BCA & MCA held on 1st May 2015.This contest was organized under the guidance of Ms. Pooja Juneja Kundra, Senior Lecturer, IT DEPARTMENT. The contest was started at 02:00 pm in Seminar Hall. The students were excited to participate as they got the platform to assess their knowledge level.  There were 10 groups and 2-3 members in each group. The rules to be followed in the " INSIGHT-2015 ” were- 1. Group should be at least 2 members and maximum 3 members. 2. They can choose any topic regarding IT. 3. They can choose any strategies among roll play presentation, power point presentation, poster presentation, collage presentation and model presentation. 4. Time limit was 10 minutes. 5. Cross Questioning was also allowed. At the end of the competition, Winners were declared- WINNERS- Archita, Deepshikha and Gopanshi from BCA IV Sem RUNNER UP-  Dhanur, Manoj and Prashant

A Quiz Competition on Legal Literature was organized by IMS Law College, Noida on April 29, 2015 at IMS Seminar hall. The event witnessed overwhelming participation of 30 teams of various semesters of B.A;LL.B programme.The event started with briefing of the importance of Quiz Competition delivered by Dr. Niti Sinha , HoD-Law. In the course of her address, she highlighted the initiatives taken by the college such as Quiz for grooming of the students. She emphasized the importance of quizzing and brought out its relevance. She held that Quizzing makes one more alert, aware and mentally agile. Students of BBA organized a donation camp in the IMS Campus on May 01, 2015 for the earthquake victims of Nepal. The students of SJMC also actively participated in this. This initiative of IMS students was appreciated by the faculty members and staff of IMS. Students expressed their emotional solidarity with the Nepal earthquake victims through a musical programme. MJMC student Ravi Mishra played guitar and sang songs with other students for calling the youth to join the initiative and take part actively in the donation campaign. BJMC second semester students Tarun Rathore, Arnold Samuel , Sakshi Bhatt and Sugandha Goel appealed IMS staffs, faculty members and students to take initiatives, come forward, support and donate for the earthquake victims of Nepal. Mind Zapper, the crossword management game was organized on 29th  April, 2015. 6 teams comprising of students from PGDM and MIB participated in the event. The screening round on general management topics resulted in elimination of 2 teams out of 6.Round 1 was  related to Human resource Topics followed by Round 2 pertaining to Marketing & Finance topics. Department of BBA had organized the first round of activity under the aegis of International Business Club on 18 April 2015 (Saturday).International Business club was formally inaugurated on Saturday by the member students with great enthusiasm. The event started with a formal welcome by the club In-charge, Ms Sonia Dhir. She briefed the club members regarding the mission and vision of the club. She discussed the objectives of the club and sought their wholehearted participation and cooperation for the club activities going forward.
