Special Lecture on the Making of Union Budget@IMSNOIDA.IN
The students of SJMC of IMS Noida had an special occasion to attend a Special Lecture on the process of making of the Union Budget, 2015-2016, by Prof.(Dr.) N.K. Trikha. It is worth mentioning here that Prof. Trikha has worked as a Parliamentary Correspondent for about three decades. He has been covering the parliamentary proceedings, special sessions and the budget sessions. It was a great opportunity for the students of SJMC to acquire knowledge of the making of the Union Budget from him personally.
The students got an insight about the following:
• The process of the making of the Union Budget
• The process how it is presented
• The process of passing it in the Parliament
Prof.(Dr.) N.K Trikha described with his enormous experience of parliamentary reporting how much effort is paid in the making of the Union Budget and how much secrecy is maintained during the process. Prof Trikha also described how much effort has to be put to cover a budget as a journalist. He shared his experience with the students. He talked about the importance of the budget in the development of our country. He also talked at length about the Union Budget, 2015-2016.He made sure that all students’ confusions were cleared. Students were given an opportunity to ask questions and clarify their doubts about the budget. It was a great occasion for the SJMC students to hear from a learned man like Prof. Trikha. The students were all supportive and excited.
