Management Games organized by PGDM Department

Mind Zapper, the crossword management game was organized on 29th  April, 2015. 6 teams

comprising of students from PGDM and MIB participated in the event. The screening round on general management topics resulted in elimination of 2 teams out of 6.Round 1 was  related to Human resource Topics followed by Round 2 pertaining to Marketing & Finance topics. The final Round was the Riddles Round.The winners were- Namrata Jain, Abhilasha lal, Swati SinghThe Runners up were – Shubhda Nautiyal, Vishal Chauhan , Swimmi Dwivedi.The Students participated enthusiastically and had loads of fun especially the Riddles Round.The winners and Runners up were   felicitated with trophies presented By the Associate Dean(Management) Mr Debarshi Mukherjee and Program Director –Mr Ashish Jha.The Event was hosted and organized by Mr.Kuldip Kaul (Faculty-PGDM) and Rajeev Ranjan, Manish Kumar, Ravi Kumar( PGDM students-2014-2016  batch)

What is news and why some of the stories are not news for news channels? There is one and only one answer to these questions. It is the prerogative of Input and Output department of the channel. The School of Journalism & Mass Communication organized special lectures on “The Role of Input & Output Department in News Channels” to educate and familiarize the students of SJMC on these issues. There was an overwhelming response from the students and they interacted with the guest speaker’s during question-answer session. Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Input Head of P7 News Channel explained the process and criteria of the selection and collection of news. He further explained how the Input department collects the raw news stories from the Local Correspondents, Bureaus throughout the country, along with news feeds from various Agencies, Foreign Correspondents and Retainers. He explained the priorities of the News Channels and elaborated the different modes of operations and strategies

Best out of waste competition@IMSNOIDA.IN

In the new session Creative Club activities of BCA started with “Best out of waste Competition” in IT Department of IMS NOIDA. This event was held on 23rd only creativity and presentation skills but also helped the students to realize the importance of recycling and reusing waste material available to them.The program began with the formation of teams, for enhancing the team spirit in the students while working. Ms. Nancy Mendiratta and Ms. Nidhi Sharma (Creative Club In-Charges) guided the students over how to use waste material available at home.Students were engaged in handicrafts using plastic bottle , sticks , newspapers, fused bulb, bottle cap and so on during the competition. They created Pen Stand , Flower vase , Night Lamp , Jewellery box and so on. Students actively participated in the event.  Group 1 won the First Prize in the event (Pen Stand).
