The one day induction program of B.A.,LL.B
& LL.B (Ist Year batch 2015-2020
& 2015-2018) was conducted by IMS
Law College, Noida on August 17, 2015.
The aim of the programme was to give the
students who are joining the IMS Law College a bird’s eye view about various
dimensions of law and the career opportunities for the law students and to acquaint
them with the systems and procedures of the college. Students should know about
the future planning of college, their opportunities and the direction they have
to move so as to become a successful lawyer. The programme aimed to give a
proper orientation to the new students about the course, about law and about
the future prospects as well as the methodology of learning to be adopted to be
successful in life.
The induction program commenced with the
lightning of lamp by Dr. Kamaljit Singh Anand (Executive Director), Dr D J Pati
(Dean, Journalism), Prof. Dr. Manjula Batra (Guest of honour, Dean, Faculty of
Law, JMI, New Delhi), Dr. Debarshi Mukherjee, Associate Dean, School of
Management, Ms Kalpana Sinha, Head Entrepreneurship, Ms. Charu Verma (Dean CRC), Dr. Niti Sinha (HoD, Law College),
Faculty Members of IMS, parents and students. Ms Zarmina Khan and Ms Babita
Yadav (B.A., LL.B IX Semester) performed a wonderful dance on Sarawasti Vandana.
The event was commenced with the welcome address was by Dr Niti Sinha (HOD, Law
College), in the course of her address she welcomed new comers and their
parents. She ignited the path of success to new comer’s students by choosing
Law Profession as a career in the field of litigation, Judicial Service and
Corporate World. Dr. Kamaljit Singh Anand (Executive Director, IMS) presented
Good luck Plant to guest of honour and stressed upon punctuality and sincerity
towards their studies and explained that college will support students in
every way for their future. Prof.
Dr. Manjula Batra (Dean, Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi) stressed
that students should be focused for their careers in the form of good studies, identify
your strength and weakness and competence in life and achieved their ambition
by studying law seriously through analytical reason and application of
reasoning in solving problem based on case laws. Dr. D.J. Pati, Dean, Journalism proposed vote
of thanks for inaugural session and also presented the memento to the guest of
honour.

After lunch Academic Session started and guest of honour
for the session Mr V.K Shukla (Additional Advocate General State of UP) gave a wonderful
thought and addressed to the students
that they should work hard for achieving their goal for choosing law as a
career, there is no short cut for success and they have to work hard in the
form of critical understanding the technicalities of law, read newspapers daily
and trying to get involved in the legal issues framed by the court while
deciding the issues on the basis of application of law and other case law in
support of it. It was an interactive
session by both Dr. Kamaljit Singh, ED and Mr. V K. Shukla (Add. Adv. Gen.). The
academic presentation was given by HoD, Law College. All the subject Faculty
members discussed about their session plans. Senior Students presented Cultural
programme for them.The programme ended by the screening of movie (EK RUKA HUA
FAISALA) based on legal angle of case related to murder of man by his own son
and judgment will be delivered by panel of lawyers and jurists of the society
for fate of young man whether death penalty should be given or not.The day’s
programme was concluded Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Govind Prasad Goyal (Asst.
Professor). The program was coordinated by Dr. Niti Sinha (Hod, Law College),
Mr Sudhakaran, Ms. Neelam Seam, Ms. Anjum Hassan, Ms. Neha Singh, Mr. Inderjeet
Santoshi, Ms. Punam Bhagat (Law Faculty ) and Ms. Sandhya Aswal .
