Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Noida , hosted an International Delegation of Academicians with French Higher Education on Monday, Including more than 15 Institutions from France and India. The delegation was led by the Campus of France that includes Business Schools, Engineering Institutions and Universities from France. The French Business Schools expressed their interest to develop Strategic Academic Partnership with IMS Noida to facilitate the Student Exchange.

Institute of Management Studies,  Noida organized a cultural event on the occasion of International Women’s Day Celebration on 14 th March 2012 in the Campus. Only female students from various courses of IMS participated in it. Declamation contest on the topic “Emerging role of women in growing India” and painting competition on “Women Empowerment with equal Human Rights” were held. Ms. Aastha Jaiswal, BBA I yr and Ms. Archana Sinha, BBA II yr won first and second prize respectively in painting competition. And Ms. Aastha, BJMC student and Ms. Sunaina, BALLB student won  first and second prize respectively in declamation contest. More than 5o female students participated in the event. Institute of Management Studies, Noida organized a heart check-up camp in association with lioness club, New Delhi and Satya Medical Hospital, Noida on 19 th March, 2012. It was inaugurated by Executive Director of IMS Noida, Dr. A.K. Shrivastava, Advisor Alok Aggrawal and the Principal IMS Law College Dr N.S Azad  with cutting of the ribbon. Mr. Rajeev Kumar Gupta, President gave the inaugural speech to encourage the health awareness among the students. He said, he wish to develop a health environment and groom our students in a health way. All the students as well as faculty took active part in the camp and made it a success. The University representatives held a series of meetings with the Management and Faculty of IMS Noida. Institute of Management Studies, Noida Sector 62 organized the Annual Techno Management Fest “ACTIVATORS 2012” on 22 nd March 2012 in Campus. Around 200 students participated in different events of the fest. Various competitions were conducted in the fest in which there were some competitions specially designed for management students like Business Quiz, Strategy Making and Management Antakshari and some competitions were specialized for IT students like LAN Gaming, Digital poster making, programming and Debugging . Sneha Gupta the fame of ‘ Dance India Dance’ was in the Institute of Management Studies ’ Community Radio Station Salam Namastey 90.4 for an interview. Sneha Gupta is among the top 10 finalist of Dance India Dance season 3 and was in the team of the famous choreographer Tarence. She told that after D.I.D her life has totally changed, now everybody recognized her by face and she has even getting started offers for various shows. At present her choice is to be a lead dancer instead of being a choreographer. Her mother Sumitra Gupta told us that Sneha started participating in Dance competitions since she was in first standard and she started earning when she was 10 years old only. डांस इंडिया डांस 3 की प्रतिभागी स्नेहा गुप्ता ने आज   आइ.एम.एस नॉएडा के कम्युनिटी रेडियो   रेडियो स्टेशन सलाम नमस्ते ९०.४ में शिरकत की। स्नेहा ने यहाँ सलाम नमस्ते की स्टेशन हेड   बरशा छबाड़िया को रेडियो शो   “ एक पहल ”   के लिए इंटरव्यू दिया। बचपन से ही स्नेहा का रुझान डांस की ओर था , और इनका कहना है कि जब ये पहली कक्षा में थीं तब से ही इन्होने डांस प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेना शुरू कर दिया था। स्नेहा ने डांस इंडिया डांस सीजन 3 2012   में टॉप 9 में अपनी जगह बनाई। स्नेहा ने डांस इंडिया डांस का अपना अनुभव बताते हुए कहा की टेरंस सर की टीम का एक सदस्य होना अपने आप में बड़ी बात है और टेरंस सर से बहुत कुछ सीखने को मिला। स्नेहा की माँ सुमित्रा गुप्ता ने बताया की स्नेहा को डांस का शौक बचपन से ही है। कहीं भी गाने की धुन सुनते ही स्नेहा की पैर धिरक्ने लगते है। उन्होने बताया की स्नेहा मात्र १० वर्ष की आयु में ही कमाना शुरू कर दिया था और पहली कमाई २००० रुपए की । स्नेहा ने बताया की डांस के उनके इस शौक को उनकी माँ ने पहचाना और उभरने का मौका दिया। साथ ही साथ डांस इंडिया डांस में भाग लेन

Mr. AK Gupta, an engineer from IIT, Roorkee , explained the concept of new product development in very lucid manner . He has brought samples of an “Emergency door release” and photos to explain the practical methods f new product development. Students asked many questions to understand practical approach to the product development. This corporate guest lecture was organized by Prof HN Singh, in line with being part of subject- Operations Management PG304, being  taught  by him to PGDM first year students in III trisem 2012.

IMS Noida  always endeavors to give extra to its students.  Case study is an integral part of our teaching methodology. A case study workshop was organized on the 28 th March, 2012. The students participated with enthusiasm. Prof. HN SINGH and Mr.Kaship Pandey introduced the case study methodology. The students were then divided into two groups, Finance and Marketing. The erudite Dr.Rajpurohit took the Finance group and explained the case study nuances. The Marketing group was supervised by Mrs.Ritu Sharma and Mrs.Surabhi Singh.  Later, the students presented the cases they had prepared. Our  IMS  Advisor, Mr.Alok Agrawal and HOD Prof.PK Agarwal judged the presentations. The team of Ms.Lata Mali and Mr.Amit Sinha of  PGDM  1 st  year won the case study presentation competition. Photography is a documentation of memories, happening and capturing of moments. It has special meaning in Journalism. Photo Journalist is an important person in the Print media.
